Meet the Akaroa Horses

Welcome to the Akaroa horse herd. On Sunday, September 26, 2010 the herd of horses came to Akaroa from Orton Bradley Park. Penny Sparrow owns and manages the herd and has looked after these horses for many years while they took riders for treks at Orton Bradley Park. The horses are being trained in Natural Horsemanship, and can be ridden confidently in a rope halter. They are kind and personable each with their own horsonalities.

You will meet Earnie, Ronnie, Charlie, Tricky, Maggie, Memphis, Robbie, Nosey Girl and Nosey Boy, Jonesy, Nero, Libbie, Chrissie, Daisy, and Snip.
